Pleasant Valley Piranhas

The Pleasant Valley Piranhas will compete in Division 14 of the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL).  The Piranhas also participate in the Western Fairfax Development League (WFDL).  NVSL meets are held on Saturday mornings and WFDL meets are held on Monday nights.  Boys and girls ages 4-18 are encouraged to join the Piranhas.  In order to compete in NVSL or WFDL meets, children should be able to swim at least one length of the pool.  For children who cannot swim the length of the pool, we offer a Junior Piranhas program to teach and develop swim skills and endurance.  At the beginning of the season, the head coach will evaluate each child to ensure proper team placement.

Our swim team is small and entirely run by volunteers.  We expect that every family will volunteer through their time and, if possible, the donation of goods (e.g., cereal, donuts, etc.) for swim team events.  Unless there are extenuating circumstances which have been communicated to the Team Rep, please plan for at least one parent to volunteer at every meet where one or more of your children is participating. 

All swim team members must be full members of PVRA in good standing.  (i.e., you must have a family membership).  For more information related to different membership options, please visit www.pvrec.org.
