Volunteers
Hello Piranha Parents!
We are so grateful for our volunteers! We couldn't run or participate in swim meets without you. Read on for volunteer specific information.
Believe it or not, it’s nearly time to reach into the back of your closets and extract the official volunteer uniform of summer swim! Yay! For our new parents, the official volunteer uniform for summer swim meets consists of navy blue bottoms and a white top. You may also wear a white hat or visor. The official uniform helps swimmers know who to ask for assistance and helps meet officials quickly identify those assisting with the swim meet.
Below you will find a listing of our volunteer opportunities. It’s important to note that our summer swim team is completely run by volunteers. Volunteers help get the season up and running, assist with events throughout the summer and also make our swim meets happen. It takes quite a few volunteers to make a swim meet happen and we really need all parents to volunteer at meets. If you’d also like to volunteer for a non-swim meet position, we welcome that!
Please read through the available positions and think about which would best suit you. Prior to each swim meet, you will receive an email with a sign up genius link to volunteer for a swim meet specific job. Home meets require a few more volunteers than away meets. If you would like to volunteer for a non-swim meet position, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We’re excited to hear from you! Also, feel free to reach out to us with any questions at any time.
Meet Information
When you arrive to a swim meet, whether home or away, check in with one of our team reps who will be able to direct you to your volunteer spot. When you sign up to volunteer, you are committing to volunteering for the duration of the swim meet. Our team is too small to make shift work a possibility, but invite more friends to swim and we can work on making shift work a possibility (hint, hint).
- What to Wear
The official volunteer uniform of summer swim is white top and navy bottoms. You'll see all volunteers wearing this uniform (other than concessions). Make sure you bring a hat and sunscreen as not all pools offer shade.
